Most people think that exercises like crunches and sit-up will get you a great looking midsection that everyone will fall in love with. It is not that simple. You need to know other things to do in order to see any results at all. There is more fat on your abs than you really think. Even though you may be fit everywhere else, in most cases, there is fat that is covering your abs hiding what you want everyone to see. So, the first thing that you need to do is to get that fat off of your ab area. You are going to have to start eating right and drinking plenty of water to get this jump started. You are also going to have to start doing exercises that are geared toward boosting your metabolism so that the fat will go away quick. Things like doing the air bicycle, using an ab ball, etc will help boost your metabolism so that you can get meet your desired goal. You also need to realize that regular crunches and sit-ups will not burn any fat. They may help build your muscles, but there will always be fat there unless you know what to do to get it off properly. Another common misunderstanding is that if you eat health foods, you are going to lose belly fat. This is true to some degree, but when you start eating foods that are labeled low on carbs or no sugar, you are going to start fighting a downhill battle. These types of foods have artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, and many other things that mess with your hormones and will actually cause you to gain belly fat. I am not telling you this to discourage you. I want you to know what people are doing wrong so that you will not be another statistic and give up. You can get that sexy core that you desire, but you have to know what works and what is actually hurting you.
